More about pelvic healthWhat a first visit is like
A first visit lasts 45 minutes, or 60 minutes for rehabilitation after surgery and for pelvic health. It is an assessment before it is anything else.
- Back and neck pain. How you move, what makes it worse, and what has already been tried. You leave with two or three things to do at home and a plan for how many visits it is likely to take.
- Knee and hip pain. An assessment of how the joint moves and how much weight it will take, then a programme of loading that builds up week by week. Most people are seen every other week rather than weekly.
- Sports injury assessment. A hands-on assessment of the injured part and of what you were doing when it happened, and a straight answer about whether this is something to treat here or to send on.
- Rehabilitation after surgery. The surgeon's own protocol is followed and checked against how you are actually moving, with the pace set by what the joint will take rather than by the calendar.
- Pelvic health. A private appointment in a closed room, starting with a conversation rather than an examination, and nothing is done that has not been explained first.
Free parking behind the building, entrance from Weir Lane. Ground floor throughout, no steps from the car park to the treatment room.
